Hawaii, the big island – Episode 55
by Chris Christensen Add commentscategories: audio travel podcast, podcast, usa
The Amateur traveler goes to the big island of Hawaii and sees: volcanoes, lava tubes, waterfalls, banyan trees, hot lava and all those state and national parks with unpronounceable Hawaiian names. The Big Island offers resorts but it also offers the ability to hike in a lava tube or to stand close enough to hot lava to touch it… which as it turns out is a very bad idea.

In case nobody has told you yet, it was a mongoose you saw running across the road, not a weasel. Although I agree the rock band name would sound better with weasel.

There are great Hawaii Travel packages. I think I have to try one this year.
