An inspirational episode for those us planning to do similar long term travel adventures. Our retirement plan is to live in a different country every other year, become a ‘local’ and experience life there.

Keep up the good work Chris.

Excellent episode, Chris. It was neat to hear from Scott and Sheryl away from the format of their podcast, and you tackled some of the questions I’ve had about their trip as well.

Hi Chris,

My name is Marco and I am from Mexico. I just want to say thank you
for your podcast…it gets me to Europe again in my imagination… I like it a lot you episode about Istambul and this other one about the podcast “A year in Europe”. I think your podcast is not only very interesting but also can give a lot of info to future travelers…you were right about the things you have said along Scott and Sheryl: capitals are beautiful but they not reflects the essence of the countries, which is particular true not only in France, but in a several countries as Mexico…

Again thanks you for sharing your experience as a traveler and please forgive my English…

Thanks for this episode
I have been listening to Scott and Cheryls travels and realize it is several years later. I can’t seem to find the email of the lady titi? that they speak of to contact about rooms in Cinque Terre
Can you help with this?

Just listening to this episode (I am quickly making my way through all the episodes since discovering it…every day I want to take a walk or stay at the gym longer so I can listen to more!) and really enjoying it.

We did a 3 month stay in Spain last year while one of us was on sabbatical and the other worked remotely, and so many of the things they mention ring true! I loved the little daily challenges and learning something new. Appreciated the public transport. comment too–after no car (well other than a one week rental), loads of walking and using various means of transport, I actually got extremely grumpy when we returned to our car and driving. Still haven’t gotten completely used to it yet, and look forward to more time in Europe to leave the car behind again:-)

Does anyone know anyway to still get this podcast. I’m planning a similar trip and very UK focused and this podcast sounds like a great resource to learn how to prepare and also what to see and do in the UK but the Website doesn’t seem to be up anymore.
