However, we need to expose our kids to the wonders that the world offers. My wife and I travel once a year without the kids. The rest of the year we take them with us wherever we go. With six kids and a Suburban we travel quite well and have a lot of fun.

While I agree with some of the comments here on your podcast, yes, couples need to get out and about without their kids once in a while. It's nice to hear some good travel tips with kids other than just "don't bring them." I don't have kids yet and this made me much less scared about having kids and traveling... many people just tell you your traveling life is over for the next several years. I've already recommended to a couple friends with kids (who are scared to travel with their kids) and the Debbie's website. Chris- how come this episode (and 141) don't show up on the episode's page? I wanted to send a link for a friend without an ipod/itunes to listen...
