Momument to the Revolution - Mexico

I loved this picture that I took of Mexico City’s Monument to the Revolution. Instead of taking a picture of the monument itself I turned the other way and took this picture of the reflection of the monument in nearby office buildings. This symbolized for me how the traditional and the new live side by side in modern Mexico City.

Love it! I think its very important to remember to periodically look up in Mexico City! It’s an architecture-lover’s wonderland. I’m a modernist, myself, and its my favorite city for modern architecture.

This is the type of photo I could keep looking at. The reflection is so clear and bright, you really get a feel for the monument. What a creative shot.

Lauren, I know what you mean. I was pleasantly surprised how interesting some of the new and also some of the older architecture was.
