Bellagio, Italy

Before the Bellagio was a hotel on the strip in Las Vegas it was this lovely town on Lake Como in northern Italy. We stayed in nearby Verenna and took the ferry over to Bellagio which is a 5.4 km ferry ride or an hour car ride around the bottom of the lake.

Lake Como is shaped like an upside down “Y” and Bellagio is between the two forks of the lake. Bellagio is a beautiful town facing the lake with lakeside cafes under shade trees.

Wow, it looks like the hotel in vegas is bigger then this adorable little town.

LOL, not quite, the town is a bit bigger than this picture shows.

This has to be better than shiny Vegas. And possibly more romantic.

I guess George Clooney is onto something! Nice photo.

Quite understated compared to the other Bellagio! I have to snicker because @wandermom is at the LV Bellagio this week for a trade show. I doubt it’s anywhere near as charming :-)

Nothing is as nice as the real thing. I’ve heard the area around Lake Como is beautiful…it’s somewhere -else- I’ve love to go one of these eons.
