Ever try to check into a hotel that’s not a hotel? Well, read on…The Daily Mail and Independent tell us an amusing tale about a British tourist who spent a night locked in a French civic building bearing the name, “Hotel de Ville.” In France, the words typically refer to a city hall — not a hotel.

What’s up with the naked unruly fliers?
That’s a question many might be asking today after an airline passenger caused a ruckus, stripped naked and forced his flight to divert to a different airport. That’s the second time in less than two months that such an incident has occurred. In the latest incident, The Oakland Tribune writes Southwest “Flight 947 bound for St. Louis with a stop in Las Vegas, had to return to Oakland International Airport at 8:15 a.m. (PT) Thursday morning after a man exposed himself to a woman seated next to him, police said. At least if you had too much to drink you would be close to your bed.
On your next trip, you could be checking into a wine cask
When they were owned by a Swiss château, the four enormous casks on the grounds of the Hotel De Vrouwe Van Stavoren in the Netherlands held the equivalent of 19,333 bottles of wine. Now, after some creative recycling, it’s guests rather than booze that mellow out inside the casks. The richly worn and airtight oak barrels have two narrow beds, with a small sitting area outside.
