American Gothic Statue – Chicago, Illinois – Photo Friday

Outside the office of the Chicago Tribune is this large statue of the couple from American Gothic who are all packed up and apparently vacationing in Chicago. I am not sure why they brought their pitchfork along on vacation. Frankly from their expressions they don’t seem to be enjoying their vacation all that much. For scale, below is a picture of my next to the statue. I am 6′ 3″ tall and I don’t even come up to the couple’s knees.
