Love Locks – Prague, Czech Republic – Daily Photo

After I posted the picture of the John Lennon Peace Wall earlier this week Lorene Romero (who is my co-conspirator on the New Media Cruise / Podcamp@Sea) sent me this picture of padlocks on a fence just around the corner from that wall. I did some poking around and found that these fences of locks called “love locks” are quite common around the world. See a slideshow below from flickr. Am I the last to know?

Awesome! I had no idea about love locks. So no, you were not the last to know. I also love edgy urban travel shots and love when I come across one with my lens or on the web. Great pic!

I had just read about this on someone else’s blog a little while ago so I had no idea either! I didn’t realize they were all over the place. They make for a very cool picture and such a great story.

I recall seeing this once, but I cannot remember where. I had no idea of the significance of the locks and wondered. I’ve not been to Europe so it would have been somewhere in the U.S or in Central America. I wish I could remember where I saw it!
