Continuing on with the theme of romance this week… where do the Italians go on vacation? For many years the answer to that question has been Lake Como in Northern Italy. This picture of a loving couple watching the sunset is from Veranna on the east coast of Lake Como.

For a particularly wonderful place to stay I can recommend the Villa Cipressi. It is not the cheapest place in town so if you are on a budget stay somewhere else in Veranna but then visit the gardens of the Villa that go down to the lake.
