Sugar Cane Juice – Hong Kong – Daily Photo
by Chris Christensen Add commentscategories: asia travel

One of the things I love about travel are the small surprises. I expect to see people making fresh juice by putting fruit like lemons and oranges through a juicing machine but this was the first time I had seen someone making fresh juice from sugar cane. Not shown in this picture is the flattened cane stalk that comes out the other side after being pressed by this machine. This picture was taken near the Temple Street night market in Kowloon in Hong Kong. The Temple Street Night market is located near the Jordan MTR (mass transit) station.
