TBEX 2010 – Podcasting Panel Audio

The plan for the Podcasting Panel at TBEX 2010 (the Travel Blog Exchange conference) in New York City last week was to talk for a few minutes about podcasting and then to record a live episode of This Week in Travel with guest hosts Craig Martin of Indie Travel Podcast and Wendy Perrin of Conde Nast Traveler joining regular hosts Gary Arndt of Everything-Everywhere.com and me.

As with even the best laid plans this one did not survive contact with reality. In this case reality came in the form of a conference that was running late and a deadline for getting out of the auditorium. Gary talked to Kim Mance the conference organizer and we decided at the last minute that we would instead have Craig and I talk briefly about podcasting and then throw open the floor to questions on podcasting and then questions on the conference in general. We did not end up using this as an episode of This Week in Travel nor did we really get to take advantage of having Wendy on stage (as numerous people have pointed out to me). But if you would like to know something about podcasting, we do cover some of the whys and hows of podcasting.
