“The Susan Lucci of Podcast Awards” – Amateur Traveler

Does anyone else remember Susan Lucci? For my readers who are not from the U.S. or who are not… of a certain age, Susan Lucci is, or at least was, an acress in a daytime drama (soap opera). She played Erica Kane on the ABC daytime drama All My Children, starting in 1978. After that for 11 years she was nominated almost every year for a daytime Emmy award for her work and lost… 11 times.
I bring this up because It is time for the annual Podcast Awards again. Voting starts on November 1st and runs through out the month of November. The Amateur Traveler is nominated, again this year. The show was nomindated in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 as well. See the trend? I usually lose to the WDW Radio podcast. This year the show is actually competing agains 7 Disney theme park podcasts and 2 other theme park podcasts. So… if you love travel to places other than theme parks please vote for Amateur Traveler. If, however, you think that the best of travel is trave to theme parks, I can recommend 9 good podcasts for you.
