I live near Toronto and I am off to a short road trip tomorrow to VT and NH area to check out the fall colour. My nephew is kind enough to offer to loan me his drone for the trip. Since I heard this episode just days ago, I decided to look up Gary’s tip for the app DroneMate. I am glad I did since it told me any drone heavier than 0.55 lb needs to be registered with FAA. After further checking, I have decided not to bother. Glad I checked first though.
On a different topic, I can relate to the annoyance crossing the border into the US. Since I usually travel alone with a passport that has lots of stamps, I got asked lots of questions and some of them felt like traps because an agent would re-ask me the same question a few minutes later as if to check if I would provide the same answer. The fact that I have to clear customs even though I might just be passing through the US for a few hours really annoyed me too. I finally got a Nexus a few years and that has really eased my travel in and out of the US. Highly recommended.
Finally, always enjoy the show and looking forward to the next one.
