Travel to Lesotho – Episode 292
categories: africa travelThe Amateur Traveler talks to Kim Mance about traveling to the mountain kingdom of Lesotho in Southern Africa.
Lesotho is a small mountainous region surrounded by South Africa but is an independent constitutional monarchy. The country has a very rural population. Kim got around via rental car but also did a pony trek with a guide out into the small mountain villages. Riding small, hearty, and nimble Besotho ponies they headed out into a landscape of shepherds and glacier-carved mountains.

This episode is so inspiring and joyful! It is wonderful to hear about travel to the tiny far-far-away land of Lesotho! I always wanted to step foot inside if I was in the neighborhood, but now I *really* want to spend some time there. Thank you for finding unusual destinations and visitors whose experiences come to life in podcast!
