Chris,
I just finished listening to your Podcast # 254 – Cruising the Rhine and found it very informational as I and my wife have a river cruise on the top of our list of future vacations.

Listening to the pod cast, we were though a little “taken-back” with your comments about the make-up of the fellow cruisers who were on the cruise with you. In describing the make-up of the passengers you commented about “People on the ship tend to be a little older crowd and not uncommon to see someone with a hearing aide or needing hip surgery”

I can’t speak for other listeners but these comments came across as being somewhat un-sensitive especially towards the elderly and those with physical disabilities.

Enjoy and look forward to all your podcasts but wanted to let you know how your comment came across to us and perhaps others.

Sorry Jeff, I did not mean to be insensitive. My wife, by the way, has had hip replacement surgery and I highly recommend it to those who need it.

Just a note that you missed one World Heritage Site – the Cathedral at Cologne is one too!

Cool, I had not realized that. Since I climbed over 520 steps to the bell tower, I think I can count that one.
