Travel to Trinidad and Tobago – Episode 314

Trinidad-and-Tobago

The Amateur Traveler talks to JD Andrews about his recent trip to Trinidad and Tobago. JD, who used to work for a cruise line, has visited many of the islands of the Caribbean but this was his first visit to Trinidad.

“Trinidad and Tobago are two separate islands. The main island is Trinidad and that’s where the capital is, it’s a big city, Port of Spain is their capital. That’s where almost everything happens. Tobago doesn’t have any of that, you go there for the beach and the relaxation. The most famous thing about Trinidad is their carnival which is supposedly the best in the Caribbean.”

Trinidad is also the home to bitters and to steel drums.

First of all, thank you for linking the guest post done by EarthXplorer on my website. Secondly, thank you for getting me psyched up for my trip to Carnival in two weeks. As JD said, I found the perfect remedy for the post holiday there is no snow in Chicago blues.
